First Step To Internet Marketing Business

After you have decided to start an online Internet Marketing Business, the next step is to do some research on what you can really do to get started. There are many ways businesses are conducted over the Internet. It depends on whether you are an individual small businessperson or large coporation. It depends on what you want to sell or promote. It depends on what you really want to do. There can be direct sales generation or indirect sales generation.

In my opinion, the simplest way to start is to get involved in Google Adsense. You do not need to invest any money. Just have Internet Access will do. The steps involve are simple. First, you sign up a Google account. That can be Gmail or blogger account. Then from that Google account, you can do blogging and set up your adsense as well. They are all linked together. The New Google's Blogger is very simple to use. They allow you to configure your blog very easily and there are many more "templates" that you can choose from. You can make changes to color, fonts, etc without touching the HTML code. You do not ever have to worry about the HTML codes at all.

But before you could start, you need to think about what can you really "blog" about? It must be something that you already familiar with and passionate about. Then you can create a blog that is interesting and attract lots of visitors. Certainly, something controversial will always attract visitors. Check on the news head line to see what is hot and you think you are able to make something out of it. Alternatively, choose a hobby that you know a lot about and can get tons of information. Day-by-day update those into your blog. Create something that make your reader interact. Then, you will have lots of visitors. Place your Adsense strategically so that you visitor can't miss it and write in such a way that there is a tendency for people to be curious enough to click on those ads. Google will pay you for each of the clicks your visitors did. Does that sounded simple enough? No technical knowledge. No computer jargons to live with. Just some writing skills and reserach skills. Once you are familiar with that, you will be able to do more.

That is one part of the story. Don't ever dream that visitors will start pouring in once your blog is up and running. Do you know how many blogs and pages are there on the Internet right now for your pet topic? You can find out about it by simply going to Google and do a search on your topic. Well, I am not surprised if you come up with no less than 10 million results. So, you can one of the 10 million. Or maybe, you are not even listed. So, how do you get visitors?

There are many ways to do that. You can go and look out for free advertisig space to adverstise. You can go to Digg.com or Netscape to publish your blog and if your topic is indeed interesting enough, there will be people coming to your blog. Do allow people to help you to spread the news by allowing them to email your blog to someone else. Don't forget to email all your friends about your blog and get them to email their friends about your blog. Since you are doing Adsense, you per click revenue is going to be small unless it is certain hot keyword. In any case, I suppose it may not make sense to go for paid advertising. You still better off doing all the free methods. Please do not expect money to come in immediately. You need to promote your blog until you get lots of visitors. If your topic is interesting and your comments are sharp and provoking, there will be many people coming to read. You can also allow visitors to give their comments. That will make it more popular.

In conclusion, starting Internet Marketing Business is very simple and fast and costs almost nothing except your time (your time is probably the most expensive cost in this case). But, getting the revenue from Internet Marketing Business is a totally different story altogether. You may find you blog there for 3 months and you may have less then 10 visitors. You need think creatively in order to succeed. So, for me, I would advise you to take Blogging and Adsense as a hobby and fun thing for a start before you think seriously to make money from it.
